Can you feel, the cold winds of steel, blowing through the sand and stone
Flight of the dove births the scream of your soul, proud and strong,
Your journey unfolds
As the daylight dies, and the dark will rise,
Feel the grip of fear, I must persevere,
As the daylight dies, and the dark will rise,
Feel the grip of fear, I must persevere
I must persevere, I must persevere, I must persevere,
All on my own
Howling wolves, the eyes of the night, the trial's begun,
By the first fall of night
Across the skies, a dawn breaking tide,
Warmth of the sun bringing hope to my eyes,
Whats before me, the mountains and trees, the wind in my hair,
The freedom to be
As the daylight dies, and the dark will rise,
Feel the grip of fear, I must persevere,
As the daylight dies, and the dark will rise,
Feel the grip of fear, I must persevere
I must persevere, I must persevere, I must persevere,
All on my own, On my own
True as the seas, we live our dreams,
Free as the wind, the one who dares,
Dares to win
You know I have seen, such adversity,
Yet I shall not fall, swearing my last oath
For I could have been, a bringer of sin,
But I chose my path, I walk as one with the land
Walk as one, when darkness comes,
Live your dreams, walk with me
True as the seas, we live our dreams,
Free as the wind, the one who dares, dares to live
The end I have seen, but was it a dream,
Could it be me, yeah?
Can you feel, the cold winds of steel, blowing through the sand and stone,
Flight of the dove births the scream of your soul, proud and strong,
Your journey unfolds
Walk as one, when darkness comes,
Live your dreams, die, die to be free
Across the skies, a dawn breaking tide,
Warmth of the sun bringing hope to my eyes,
Whats before me, the mountains and trees,
The wind in my hair, the freedom to be,
Live and you'll see
Walk as one, when darkness comes,
Live your dreams, walk with me,
The end I have seen...
So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse
The latest Djunah LP channels the duo's heavy, intensely cathartic sound to reflect on living with and healing from trauma. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 14, 2023
Allow me to copy Pagan Altar's third album title to describe not only III:Pentecost but the whole discography of Wytch Hazel so far: well, yes, it's Magical and Mythical!!! A must-have for the lovers of 70's hard sound revival. BoneWalker
